On the Home Front

This week has flown by. I have to say its been a little quiet, and somewhat lonely, here with out Daddy. But I hope to capture each special moment and remember it as our little boy grows.
Hopefully Maury will know how much he is missed and the coined phrase
"A picture is worth a thousand words" will live up to his name.
I cant wait for him to see these when he gets back.

Here is a glimpse into our week...

Look at those eyeballs. Priceless. :)
Adorable in his cute hat from Nana.

A fun afternoon hanging and talking with Grandma Delta :)

Love that baby face.

Thankfully, Salem and I have had a great week being home. It is however a bigger job taking care of an infant without dad being home. We love you Maury and send our prayers across the world to Israel. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may his make his face shine upon you and give you peace.

Love Always,

Nikki & Salem

Walk in Love

On sunday Jack Hester taught on walking in love out of the book of Ephesians.
I felt that the message was so strong, it was like He was speaking those words directly to me.
It occurred to me how truly hard it is for us to do.
I am constantly reminded that it is a choice to walk in love and that most of the time I can not do this on my own.
No matter how hard I try to.
I cant seem to get it right.

Jack summed it up well in two sentences.
"Walk in love. Love in Christ. "
Only by this love can we truly love one another.

May your week be one that is full of the love of Christ.

Blessings,
Maury and Nikki

Saturday at 25:40

Matthew 25:40 says
“Whatever you did for the least of one of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

This is the basis for the ministry we attended today in downtown Mobile.

It was a blessing to serve the Lord, to love others, and to hang with great freinds.

It was a beautiful day.
One that lifts the spirit and warms your heart.
Looking forward to next month!

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength."

May your weekend be cheerful and refreshing.

Blessings yall,

Maury and Nikki

Catching Up

We have some catching up to do!

For many, we have been out of touch for a while.
Which means, we have some catching up to do!
Perhaps a recap of the past year is in order.

Here is a summary of where we've been the past year,  to catch anyone up who  may want to know.
In somewhat chronological, but no particular order
Here goes...

  • We were married December 10, 2011
  • Christmas and New Years spent with Family and Friends
  • January 1 pack up and move to Eutaw, Al to serve a Legacy School of Discipleship
  • Spent the spring ministering at LEGACY with amazing friends and students
  • May- mission trip with Legacy to Peru with E3 partners
  • May-August Serving at JH Ranch in Northern California
  • August- Back to Alabama for Family wedding
  • Family trip to Africa
  • Thanksgiving with family and "The Camp"
  • Maury began serving at The People of Mars Hill in Mobile, Al
  • Nikki began to work with SDES, South Eastern Diabetes Education Services in Mobile
  • We celebrated our FIRST ANNIVERSARY!
  • Spent time with family in Birmingham and Alex City for Christmas :)
  • Time continues to fly on by....
 Well, I'm sure I missed a lot.
Hopefully this can sum up the business and blessings we've encountered up until now.

Here are a few pics to share...

That should sum it up for now.
Hope that this helps fill in some gaps for those we have not seen!
Thanks for stopping by!
BLessings yall

Simple Beginning

We know it's been hard to keep up with us since Maury and I were married last year.
REALLY hard to keep up with.
So this is our effort to keep friends and loved ones updated on what is going on in our life.

Ironically, we've come to value is simplicity.
Partly because things around here are rarely that.
(If you laughed out loud at that, we don't blame you)

This space will be just that.
Simple.

Somewhere to share life's ever-changing activities here in Fairhope, Al; and anywhere else we may be led along the way.

Our heart is to share with those we love and who love us.

We hope that you will join us here every now and then.
We'd love for you to share with us some of your world too!

Have a great week!
Blessings

Maury and Nikki
